Loft Cleaning

Most lofts we come across are used for storage and forgotten about. People move on and forget about it. From old carpets to old toys are left in these lofts coved in cobwebs and dust we even find bricks and rubble left by builders from many years ago.  We have also found mice, rats, birds’ nests, bees nest you name it we have come across it.

Just lofts now offer a  loft cleaning and reinsulating requirements. roof cavities tend to be forgotten by most householders, who simply don’t realise how much dust accumulates in the roof space over many years.
No roof cavity is airtight, and dust can seep into the living and sleeping areas through ventilation fans, light fittings, ducts and poorly fitted off plaster sheets.

There is evidence to suggest that the removal of the large collections of accumulated dust in the roof space greatly assists chronic allergy sufferers. Just Lofts is one of the few companies to offer this service. Typically, cleaning of the roof space would normally also include replacement of the insulation as the insulation becomes saturated with dust and is extremely unhygienic.

Once the pests and infestation has been dealt with we will remove the contaminated loft insulation and all feces/dead vermin. we will disinfect the whole loft area and seal up any entrances. we will leave the loft empty for a 1 week and then return to lay new loft insulation. please contact us for a quote.

Removing insulation in your own home would not be advised by anyone due to health and safety precautions. Insulation contains irritants such as fibre glass and rock wool which are extremely dangerous to breathe in.
